Ocarina of Time-inspired dress ⊟
I really love the contrast of the all-white design on this red/black gradient dress by Koala Art & Design. There are a million Ocarina of Time-based items of clothing and other fan designs out on the internet; it’s rare that one stands out like this. Oh, and it’s available as a shirt if you’re not a dress person.
Check out lots of other cool designs on Koala Art & Design, too.

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds keychains ⊟
I know you’re looking at those cute Link and Zeldas right now, but give it a second and let that Master Sword keychain sink in. And those Triforces. Man. NCSX will ship complete sets for $18.90.

Hyrule Warriors' Japanese “Treasure Box” is just that ⊟

In fact, not only is it a box of treasure, it includes one, that makes little Zelda sound effects. It also comes with a Triforce clock and a scarf. It’s 14,904 yen ($146) at Amazon.

Really, the part of this package that would give me pause is the, uh, Musou game included. Even that’s looking pretty good, though!

Dress up as Link/maybe-not-Link ⊟

Was that Link? Zelda? Someone else? I’m still confused. Whoever that was in the new Legend of Zelda Wii U trailer, you can dress up as them in Animal Crossing: New Leaf thanks to this outfit posted by Michaela.

So maybe that wasn’t Link? ⊟
In the new Legend of Zelda trailer for next year’s Wii U game, that is. Series producer Eiji Aonuma reportedly noted that “no one explicitly said that that was Link,” according to VentureBeat. Huh.
This awesome fanart of maybe-not-Link comes from DC9spot, by the way. Her Tumblr has so much awesome art — you should definitely follow it!

Wait, some of you aren’t digging the new Zelda game’s look? ⊟

I’m surprised to see how many people are upset over Link’s feminine design or the game’s overall aesthetic. This all looks gorgeous to me! This official art is wallpaper-level, and I could stare at these GIFs (via Anthony) all afternoon.

Anyway, the Wii U game is expected to release some time next year, and is pitched as “the first truly open world in a game from the series”.

Impa playable in Hyrule Warriors ⊟

This thing is looking… cool? Nintendo sent out some screenshots today (shown here along with some recent ones from Tecmo Koei) revealing Impa as a playable character in the Wii U Dynasty Warriors/Zelda mashup Hyrule Warriors. “Many other surprising playable characters make appearances in Hyrule Warriors, and each playable character will have signature weapons and action animations.” I am legit holding out for Tingle, or for Zelda 1’s old man with fireball power.

I mentioned this on Twitter earlier, but reading Nintendo’s press release and looking at this stuff made me realize this isn’t entirely a weird business move to try to boost the Wii U’s fortunes. This is the result of people high up at Nintendo really, really liking Dynasty Warriors games. For more evidence, I refer to Samurai Warriors 3 on the Wii, which Nintendo published in America. That had a bonus mode based on the Famicom Disk System game Nazo no Murasame-jou… which is something you would do because it’s neat and you want to collaborate, not something you’d do for financial reasons.

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds “Metal Item Collection” ⊟
If you want some tiny metal Zelda items in your life, NCSX will have these in stock in August. They’re taking preorders now for $28.90. It’s interesting that they went solid metal for these, versus the painted pieces in the Skyward Sword set!

Zelda-themed “brick” Game Boy ⊟

So not only is this (via Miki800) the “brick” style Game Boy, but artist Vadu Amka put a brick texture on the console with resin. I love the ivy crawling up the Game Boy wall, and the Triforce scratched into it.

Wind Waker art from Comics vs Games 3D ⊟
Jesse Tise’s lovely illustration above will be part of Attract Mode’s Comics vs Games 3D Gallery next week, a collection of video game tributes from talented animation and comic artists — this is the first revealed piece from the gallery! In case it’s not clear, all of the artwork will be presented in 3D, and anaglyph glasses will be passed around. It would be neat if some of these pieces ended up viewable on 3DSes eventually!
Toronto’s Bento Miso will host the gallery, launching it with an opening reception on May 8th — make sure to RSVP on so you won’t miss out on the rad art, food, drinks, music, and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime tournament. If you can’t make it to the opening, you’ll be able to buy prints at Bento Miso’s amazing Bit Bazaar Spring Fair event on May 10 during the Toronto Comic Arts Festival.
Also taking place May 10 at TCAF under the Comics vs Games banner (presented by The Hand eye Society and Attract Mode): a number of inspiring talks from comic and game creators, and a showcase of experimental games created through collaborations between comic and game makers. Someone buy me a plane ticket for Toronto plz.
